So pair it, do not swap it. The smart way to use azomite for tomatoes is next to a balanced feed. Let that feed bring the main three nutrients. Work the azomite into the planting hole at transplant. Use about 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) per plant. Mix it well with the soil. The roots will reach it as they spread out.
Keep your hopes modest and you will not feel let down. Azomite is a steady trace-mineral top-up. It can sharpen tomato fruit quality by a small margin. It is not a fix for poor soil or a weak feeding plan. Get your basics right first. Add the azomite as a finishing touch. Then let the fruit at harvest tell you whether your beds needed it.
